The Garvey Group was awarded with "The Benny", the highest honor, in the category of large-format printing at the 2011 Premier Print Awards–the graphic arts industry's largest and most prestigious worldwide printing competition–hosted by the Printing Industries of America. The winning piece was an in-store display for the movie "Shrek". Printed on Garvey's KBA Rapid 205UV, 81-inch six-color sheet-fed press, this one-of-a-kind display used multiple spot colors and enhanced coating techniques giving it that added magical touch. This years competition had more than 100 categories and over 2,700 entries. April, 2011 Garvey Large-Format: Four awards at Pinnacle Print Awards 2011 Competing against 220 entries from printing and graphic arts firms from the two states, The Garvey Group received:
All jobs where produced on Garvey's KBA Rapid 205UV, 81-inch six-color sheet–fed press using printing techniques including spot varnishes and UV speciality soft touch coatings. Winning pieces included a Vizio 55" LCD TV box and 3 DVD movie display systems for the films "Shrek", "Disney Fairies" and "Prince of Persia". March, 2011 The Garvey Group debuts at GlobalShop 2011The Garvey Group designed and manufactured their booth using various digital and litho printing techniques.
